I write to give you an update on how our protocals are evolving for services at Holy Trinity. Following the government's lifting of all legal restrictions relating to COVID and a consistent decline in local infections rates, we are relaxing some of our measures to enable a fuller participation of all people within the life of the church. All that follows will be in place from Sunday 6 March 2022.
Most notably, face coverings are no longer required if you are attending a service. However, you may still wish to wear one. You will notice that your stewards will still have one on as they welcome you to church, and the clergy will continue to wear one when administering communion.
For those who may not be entirely comfortable with the easing of protocols yet, we are continuing to reserve part of the church for social distancing. We are also continuing to livestream some of our services along with gathering for Evening Prayer via Zoom. Our aim is for all people to be able to worship in a way that is comfortable and safe for them, whether that is in person or online.
As the government's Track and Trace program has ceased to operate, we are no longer collecting information when you arrive. All previously held information has been destroyed.
We continue to keep a regular program of cleaning in church, and all of our hand sanitizing stations will remain in place throughout the church. Please continue to use these frequently.
The clergy will continue to exercise the same hygiene practices around the preparation and administration of the Eucharist.
We look forward to welcoming you through our doors very soon!
