Due to the discovery of a large stone monument appearing to be coming away from its mounting on the wall of our church, it has been necessary to cordon off the 'old church' until such time as it is inspected by expert stonemasons and, if necessary, re-secured in place.
In the interests of public safety we do not feel it is safe to leave the church unattended until we are sure the monument is safe and, regretfully, until this is achieved, the church will not be routinely opened to visitors during the day as has been the case.
Our services will continue as normal, except that all will take place in the 'new church' and access will continue to be via the south porch door. (For those who are not familiar with Holy Trinity the 'old' and 'new' churches are joined as one building.)
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
