Sunday the 16th July was a sad day for Holy Trinity as it saw the final services conducted by our Rector, Fr Tom Lilley. After the Family Eucharist in the morning and after Evensong, the opportunity was taken to pop open a few bottles of bubbly to thank them for their time amongst us, and they were also presented with a framed photograph of our church and a cheque for the proceeds of a collection by the parishioners. They were thanked formally by our Assistant Priest, Fr Frank, before the celebrations commenced and afterwards a barbeque was held in the Rectory garden. We wish Fr Tom every success and happiness in his new role at Canon Slade School, ‘up north’ in Bolton, and will miss both Tom & Amy who are a great team.
