Free course on money management - all welcome!

How are your finances? Are you pretty organized, or is it like a lucky dip every time you use a cash machine? The CAP Money Course is a free, short course that makes managing your money simple. The course was devised by the charity, 'Christians Against Poverty', and it helps over 10,000 people each year to manage their money better. It can help you! A course is starting at Holy Trinity during the first week of February and all are welcome. Friday 15 December saw 140 pupils from Hamstel Junior School, together with accompanying teachers and parents fill our church for their very own Christingle Service organised by Fr Frank. The day before, a small but dedicated group of ladies from amongst our number set to in making enough Christingles for the service; thank you, ladies! The service was a joy to see; the children visibly enjoyed the occasion, and left tightly clutching the Christingles to take back to school and then home. Lights of Love

This project enables us to raise money for Embrace, the Christian organisation that provides medical, educational and other support for communities in the Holy Land. In particular Holy Trinity sponsors Elie, an 18-year old student at the Cedar Capabilities Centre for people with special needs in Lebanon. Lights of Love are red candles representing peoples' prayers, maybe in memory of a loved one or as an act of thanksgiving or intercession. A donation of £2 reserves a candle, which will be lit at the Christingle Service and Midnight Mass, and at other services during the Christmas Season.
