A prayer for remembrance day

Almighty and eternal God, from whose love in Christ we cannot be parted, either by death or life: hear our prayers and thanksgivings for all whom we remember this day; fulfil in them the purpose of your love; and bring us all, with them, to your eternal joy; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

November letter - What difference does the gospel make?

November is the final month of the church’s year. For the past 11 months we have been reading the gospel of Mark and then in December we will start reading Luke’s gospel. I always enjoy reading Mark’s gospel as he writes with such a sense of urgency. As we gaze on Jesus through Mark’s eyes, we become far more than passive observers.
